It’s thought that the current Garda Operating Model is not working in the North West.
Serious concern has been raised yet again over a lack of frontline Gardai with more members moving into different units and not being replaced as a result of the model.
Cllr Marie Casserly says these changes were meant for the betterment of both An Garda Siochana and the communities in which they serve however its clear that it hasn’t delivered in Sligo and Leitrim.
