A motorist has been caught with out of date tax and false discs in the Ballyshannon area.
With the help of the Active Mobility App, Gardaí from Ballyshannon Garda Station detected the car yesterday that had not been taxed for nearly three years.
An ‘up to date’ tax disc was displayed but on further inspection it was suspected to be false/altered.
The driver was arrested and charged and the car was seized.
Gardai are reminding all motorists to ensure that documents such as your tax, insurance and NCT are up to date/in order before taking to the roads.
