Sinn Féin runs Irish Unity ad in New York Times



Sinn Féin has an ad in today’s New York Times calling for support for a referendum on Irish unity.

 

The ad, which also appeared in the LA Times and San Francisco Chronicle, urges the US administration to hold the British government to account over the Good Friday Agreement.

 

It also calls on the Irish government to “plan, prepare and advocate” for a United Ireland.

 

The party’s chief whip and Donegal TD Padraig Mac Lochlainn says the US plays a vital role in protecting peace on the island of Ireland:
