Sligo Councillor hopes more Green Cert courses can be delivered



A Sligo Councillor has brought a motion before the council to ask the Minister for Agriculture to incentivise Teagasc and private planners to deliver more Green Cert courses.

National and EU policy prioritises schemes and incentives for young farmers and among them is the Green Cert.

Graduates of the 18-month cycle at agricultural colleges and graduates of Teagasc adult Green Cert programmes meet the education requirements.
