Ocean FM Sport marks the 40th anniversary of Sligo Rovers first ever FAI Cup success in 1983 by delving into old 'Radio Sligo' archive footage which captured the dressing-room reaction at Dalymount Park on Sunday, April 24th and the homecoming celebrations in Sligo town centre on Monday, April 25th, 1983.
The programme features contribution from the Sligo Rovers players and and management, Johnny Chadda, Tommy Brennan, Peter Hennessy, Bishop of Elphin Dominic Conway, Councillor Bill Monaghan, Mayor of Sligo in 1983 and other local public figures and representatives.
