Concern has been expressed in Glenfarne over the lack of home insurance options available to some residents.
An Bord Plenála’s flood risk assessment report has previously identified that Glenfarne village has a high possibility of flooding.
Leitrim County Council successfully carried out works under the the Minor Flood Mitigation works and coastal protection scheme which should help ease concerns over flooding in the area.
Flooding from the river had previously damaged a number of properties.
