A Leitrim Councillor is issuing a stark warning that somebody will lose their life or will be seriously injured in a road traffic collision unless the number of wild deer is addressed in the north Leitrim area.
Fine Gael Councillor Sean McDermott says concerns in the area are increasing with more collisions taking place between motorists and will deer.
Cllr McDermott says that although not an entirely popular decision to make – the relevant authorities need to implement a deer cull in order to prevent serious accidents and the loss of human life.
