A Manorhamilton MD Councillor has raised what he describes as ‘anomalies’ with the Broadband service in parts of Leitrim compared to other regions in the country.
Cllr Sean McDermott recently used a meeting of the Irish Central Broadband Areas Network to air his concerns.
The Fine Gael councillor claims when it comes to surveying stage of areas for High speed Broadband the national Figure stands at 71 % while in Leitrim it’s just 44%
The Fine Gael councillor also says temporary solutions like connecting up more cabinets in rural areas would also improve the level of connectivity in many areas in advance of the long awaited rollout of the high speed service:
