Minister urged to support forgotten farmers



Sinn Féin’s Spokesperson for Agriculture has urged minister Charlie McConalogue to set out details of his department’s proposed scheme for forgotten farmers.

Deputy Claire Kerrane raised the matter with the minister in the Dáil during priority questions and queried went details on the long-awaited scheme would be outlined.

Speaking to Ocean FM, the Roscommon Galway TD says the Minister confirmed that it will be a “number of months” before details are set out, something she has labelled as “really disappointing”:
