Donegal gears up for 51st international rally



The country’s best rally drivers are in the North West this week for the 2023 Wilton Recycling Donegal International Rally.

The three-day event starts in Donegal Town on Friday morning and continues until Sunday, June 18th.

Monaghan’s Josh Moffett, winner 12 months ago in dramatic fashion, is back to try and defend his title.

The Donegal rally also doubles up as round five of the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship, which Moffett and his co-driver Andy Hayes in their Hyundai i20 R5 are currently leading

In all, there are 20 special stages over the three days of rallying this weekend (Friday 1th – Sunday 18th)

Service will be in Donegal Town from the Tullyearl roundabout towards Cherrymore Kitchens.

Stage 1 begins on Friday at 12 noon.
