A Sligo Leitrim TD is accusing the government of failing to provide a commitment on the future of the N17 Knock to Collooney to upgrade.
Deputy Martin Kenny made the comments following the Minister of State at the Department of Transport Jack Chambers visit to Sligo on Friday last.
Minister Chambers met with Sligo Councillors and explained how no decision on funding was yet made and that it was likely it would be the end of the year before a final stance was taken in relation to its future.
Speaking to Ocean FM News Deputy Kenny says Minister Cambers failed to address the comments of the Green party Leader who indicated that the project would be stalled.
The Sinn Fein TD says the actions of Minister marked another bad day for the west and north west of the country.
