It’s been confirmed that a specialist drug dog unit is to be established in Donegal.
Chief Superintendent Aidan Glacken has stated that will be in place in the coming months along with a dog handler.
The move was confirmed at the latest sitting of Donegal Joint Policing Committee.
Councillor Michael McClafferty has been calling for such a service to be rolled out in the county for a number of years.
