Seven agricultural shows in Donegal have been allocated funding announced by Rural Development Minister Heather Humphreys.
In total, €60,025 has been allocated to Donegal shows.
€10,700 has been allocated to The Clonmany Show.
The Ardara Show, Ballyshannon Annual Show, Finn Valley Show, Glencolmcille Agriculture Show and Inishowen Agricultural Show will each receive €8,525 while the Meeancross Show has received €6,700.
The €1 million has been set aside to cover some of the operational costs.
The seven shows are part of 122 agricultural shows nationwide who have received funding to cover some of the operational costs.
The €1 million set aside is the record single investment in agricultural shows represents a 40 per cent increase on last year’s allocation.
