Four people have been rescued after their boat developed engine trouble in Donegal.
Members of the Lough Swilly RNLI were tasked to the scene yesterday afternoon shortly after 12.30pm by Malin Head Coast Guard to come to their aid.
The vessel had developed mechanical problems on Lough Swilly and the crew quickly contacted the Malin Head station.
The lifeboat volunteers established a tow and took the boat to safety before returning to Buncrana to refuel and make ready for service.
“Remember, if you’re in difficulty in or on the water or see someone in trouble, dial 999 or 112 and ask for the Coast Guard,” said an RNLI spokesperson.
