Leitrim & Sligo experience slight rise in house prices



Leitrim and Sligo have experienced a slight rise in house prices over the last year.

 

This bucks the national trend where prices in the second quarter of 2023 were 0.5% lower than a year ago, according to Daft.ie.

 

In Leitrim, prices in the second quarter of this year were 1% higher than a year previously, compared to a rise of 19% seen a year ago.

 

The average price of a home in the county is now €177,000, 30% below its Celtic Tiger peak.

 

In Sligo, prices in the second quarter of 2023 were 3% higher than a year previously, compared to a rise of 15% seen a year ago.

 

The average price of a home in Sligo is now €194,000.

 

While in Donegal prices were 2% lower than a year previously, compared to a rise of 20% seen a year ago with the average price of a home there now €196,000.
