Gardai are trying to track down the family of a man who has been missing since the weekend from the Slieve League area.
It’s understood the man may have been the victim of a serious assault.
Searches have been ongoing since Monday for the man who is believed to be in his mid-60s and originally from Northern Ireland.
Gardai are currently liaising with police in Northern Ireland as part of the investigation.
Meanwhile, the two people arrested in connection with the investigation were released without charge on Tuesday evening.
Gardaí are also continuing to appeal to anyone who may have information in relation to the incident to contact them.
