Increase in number waiting at north west hospitals



The overall number of those waiting on trolleys at the North West’s two main hospitals has seen an increase in figures published by the INMO.

The was 37 people waiting for a bed at Sligo University Hospital this morning.

However, Sligo University Hospital does remain the second most overcrowded facility in the country today.

Letterkenny University Hospital has seen an increase in its overall figures with 9 waiting there.

Nationally, University Hospital Limerick remains the country’s most overcrowded facility with 96.

The total number of patients across the country stands at 416 today according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.
