Three arrests in operation targeting Organised Criminal Group

Two men and a teenager have been arrested in the Capital in connection with a number of crimes in the North West.

The three were arrested this morning following a major search operation.

The males, two in their 30s and one in his late teens, are suspected of being members of an Organised Crime Group.

It’s believed that the gang is responsible for a number of burglaries and vehicle thefts in the North Western, Eastern and Dublin Metropolitan Region in recent weeks.

The arrests are a result of an ongoing intelligence led operation.

They are currently detained at a Garda station in Dublin under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.

A vehicle has also been seized and Gardai say it will be subject to forensic examination.

Investigations are ongoing.
