170 complaints have been lodged with the ISPCA in counties Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal so far this year.
Donegal saw the largest share of complaints with 113 made.
There were 47 complaints made in Sligo with 10 made in Leitrim.
Amid the sharp rise in animal cruelty in Ireland, The ISPCA has appealed for more donations.
€100,000 has been donated so far however the charity say more is needed to cope with the post-pandemic surge in cases.
