Sligo Rovers have confirmed that attacking winger Fabrice Hartmann has re-signed for the club on loan from German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig until the end of June 2024.
Hartmann had spent the first months of the 2023 season at The Showgrounds before returning to Germany to undergo a rehabilitation programme at his parent club after sustaining a hamstring injury in May.
Hartmann is now returning to full fitness and will go straight into John Russell’s squad for next Friday’s crunch league game against St. Patrick’s Athletic at The Showgrounds.
The less positive news concerns Will Fitzgerald who missed Friday night’s 2-2 draw in Drogheda through injury – and manager John Russell confirmed afterwards that the Limerick man will be out of action for the rest of the season.
