Almost 90% of under 18's aren't paying for rail journeys

Almost 90 per cent of under 18's aren't paying for their rail journeys.

A survey of 21 thousand passengers by the National Transport Authority is suggesting Iarnrod Eireann could be losing out on over 12 million euro a year because of fare evasion.

The research found the DART and commuter services are where passengers are most likely to dodge paying their fare.
