Rosses Point worst hit by ongoing accommodation crisis in Sligo, report finds



Rosses Point has been identified as one of the areas in Sligo suffering the most from the ongoing accommodation crisis.

 

The Irish Tourism Industry Confederation took a trip to Sligo recently to see how the county is faring as part of a wider investigation on the impact of  the tourism accommodation crisis.

 

The investigation found that while tourism in Sligo is recovering, its full potential is being hampered by the crisis.

 

Speaking to Chief Executive of the ITIC Eoghan O’Mara Walsh in the video, Golf Course Manager at Rosses Point Golf Club David O’Donovan highlighted how he feels that hotel accommodation is unsuitable for those fleeing the war:
