Donegal politicians urged to make position clear on Defective Blocks Scheme

All Donegal public representatives are facing pressure to make their position clear on whether or not they believe the enhanced defective concrete block scheme will meet the needs of homeowners.

The Mica Action Group has written to all Donegal TDs, Senators and Councillors, urging them to make their views known as it relates to the revised scheme.

Last week, the group wrote to Housing Minister Darragh O’Brien asking him to come to Donegal to attend a public meeting and stand over the scheme and now the group is asking public representatives do they too feel that the Minister should come to Donegal.

The group says that the responses which they get from public representatives will be then be published in the coming days.
