A Road Safety ‘Day of Action’ is currently underway in Donegal as An Garda Síochána urge all road users to stay safe on the roads this Bank Holiday Weekend.
A vehicle was seized this morning in the county at one checkpoint as it had no tax, no insurance & no NCT. Court proceedings will follow.
The ‘Day of Action’ will focus on the four key lifesaver offences of driving under the influence, speed, the non-wearing of seatbelts and holding a mobile phone while driving.
The overall objective is to reduce the number of fatal and serious injury collisions and to keep people safe as they take to the roads this weekend.
