Glenswilly’s dominance of the Marley Coaches League Division 2 in Donegal this season was rewarded with the league title on Saturday afternoon at Davy Brennan Memorial Park as they beat Naomh Columba by 1-14 to 0-9.
Glenswilly were full value for their win – but the consolation for their opponents Glen is that they return to Division 1 next season for the first time since 2005.
The sides were level at 0-5 each at half-time – but Michael Murphy and Glenswilly took over in the second half, outscoring their opponents by 1-9 to 0-4 to secure the league title.
