The funeral details have been released for Detective Garda Deirdre Finn who lost her life in a boat fire in Carrick-on-Shannon in Leitrim on Monday.
Ms Finn, a highly respected and experienced detective, died after a blaze broke out on the boat.
Her funeral will take place on Friday at 12 noon in St. John the Evangelist Church, Ballinteer in Dublin followed by burial in Kilmashogue Cemetery.
Gardai and members of the community lined the streets of Carrick-on-Shannon yesterday evening as the late Ms Finns cortege passed through the town with a Garda escort.
