Sligo’s Mona McSharry remains on course for a third gold medal at the LEN European Under-21 Swimming Championships after winning her heat in the women’s 200 metres breaststroke on Sunday morning.
McSharry, who has already won gold in the 50m and 100m breaststroke in Dublin this weekend, swam 2 mins 27.07 seconds in heat 1, which was the same time as Denmark’s Clara Rybak-Anderson in Heat 2.
The 200m final is scheduled to take place at 6pm on Sunday evening.
