Setanta retain Donegal senior hurling title

Setanta retained their Grand Canal Hotel senior hurling championship title in Donegal on Saturday evening with an emphatic 4-13 to 0-14 win over St Eunan’s at O’Donnell Park.

It’s the club’s 18th Donegal senior hurling championship title.

Ruairi Campbell scored two key second half goals and Declan Coulter notched 1-1 as the holders stamped their class on this final.

The only downside for the winners was the fact that they now face a 12-week wait for their opening game of the Ulster club hurling championship.

There was double success for the Setanta in Letterkenny with their junior team also lifting the county title.

Carndonagh  captured the intermediate title on Saturday after a 2-12 to 2-8 win over MacCumhaills
