Families fearful of not securing bus tickets ahead of new school year

With schools due to reopen in the coming weeks, the annual challenge of securing bus tickets for children attending Primary and Post Primary schools is continuing to prove to be a major one for many parents and guardians.

Many families who have used the school bus service for a number of years are said to be finding themselves without tickets before the start of school term in September.

Ballymote-Tubbercurry Municipal District Councillor, Dara Mulvey has called on Minister Norma Foley to address the issue.

The Fine Gael Councillor says parents are fearful of “chaos” seen in previous years in relation to the issue may rear its head again.
