A Donegal man is among the nominees for the 2023 FBD Young Farmer of the Year.
Sheep farmer, Dwayne Shiels a native of Letterkenny is one of six contestants for the 2023 title.
Mr. Shiels is the current Chairperson of the Milford Sheep Breeders Society.
The final six contestants will compete for the overall title at Tuesday’s ceremony at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Sligo.
The prestigious FBD Young Farmer of the Year competition is organised annually by Macra na Feirme supported by the IFA and have been sponsored by FBD Insurance since their inception.
Last year’s award was won by Sligo farmer Christopher Tuffy.
