It has been confirmed that Mullaney’s Supervalu in Grange has been acquired by Kavanagh Group.
The store, which opened its doors in 2008, employs 50 full-time and part-time staff.
The current staff will remain in place as part of the acquisition.
The store supports a host of local clubs and initiatives such as St. Molaise Gaels GAA Club, Tidy Towns, Sligo Athletics and Benbulben FC.
The Kavanagh Group operates a chain of supermarket along the West/North West coast of Ireland and across Northern Ireland, Surrey, Berkshire and London.
It is the third new Supervalu store acquired by Kavanagh Group in the last three years.
