Two drivers have been caught exceeding the speeding limit in Donegal.
On Wednesday morning, while carrying out early morning checks, Gardaí from the Donegal Town Roads Policing Unit detected a driver travelling at a speed of 140KPH in a 100 KPH zone.
The driver will now have to pay a fine of €160 and will also receive 3 penalty points.
While on Tuesday, the unit detected a vehicle travelling at 123KPH in a 100KPH speed zone.
This motorist was also found to have an outstanding bench warrant.
The vehicle was stopped and through the use of the active mobility device it was established that there was a bench warrant in existence for the driver.
The driver was arrested and is expected to appear in court.
