Number waiting at north west hospitals remains high



Sligo University Hospital is among the top three most overcrowded hospitals in the country today in figures published by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

The number of those waiting at both Sligo and Letterkenny University Hospitals remains high.

According to the latest figures from the INMO, there were 47 people waiting for a bed at Sligo University Hospital this morning.

There were a further 18 people waiting at Letterkenny University Hospital today bringing the total in the north west to 65.

University Hospital Limerick remains the country’s most overcrowded hospital with 94.

Nationwide, today’s figures stand at 489.
