Amount of people waiting on trolleys in North West ‘deeply concerning’



The amount of people waiting on trolleys in the North West at this time of year is deeply concerning.

 

That’s according to Donegal Independent TD Thomas Pringle, who was reacting to figures today which show that 80 people were awaiting admission to Sligo and Letterkenny University Hospitals collectively this morning.

 

Sligo was the second most overcrowded hospital in Ireland today with 50 people waiting there.

 

The INMO has also called for the Emergency task force to meet as a matter of urgency to determine the HSEs course of action to tackle the issue.

 

Deputy Pringle believes that there are a number of solutions that if implemented on the ground, would go in some way towards alleviating the crisis:
