A motorist has been arrested and charged by Gardaí following a cross-border pursuit on Saturday night.
Gardai from the Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit initially responded to a call in relation to a driver who was suspected to be driving while under the influence.
Officers observed the vehicle in the Letterkenny area, but the driver failed to do so when signalled to do so.
The motorist made off in the direction of the border.
After the vehicle crossed the border, the assistance of the PSNI was requested.
Gardaí are reminding the public to not take risks on the roads and never drive while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
