A Donegal Sinn Féin TD hasn’t ruled out his party entering a coalition with Fianna Fáil.
Deputy Padraig MacLochlainn was reacting to comments made yesterday by the Tánaiste Michael Martin who accused the media of cheerleading for Sinn Féin ahead of the next election.
Following the boundary review, many commentators believe the numbers after the next general election dictate a Sinn Féin-Fianna Fáil coalition.
But Micheál Martin pushed back at that, saying many of their policies are incompatible.
Deputy MacLochlainn says his party’s focus will be to have a Government that doesn’t include either Fianna Fáil or Fine Gael but hasn’t ruled out being in coalition:
