People in the Mountcharles area are said to be ‘living in fear’ over what’s been described as a lack of road markings on two local routes.
A section of the N56 and a junction on the N15 are said to be hugely problematic now because right hand turn markings have been removed.
There have been recent minor crashes at the two junctions but Gardai have confirmed that a lack of road markings did not play a factor.
One option on the N15 is to close the junction entirely as part of an upcoming safety review.
However, local Sinn Fein Cllr Noel Jordan branded that plan as ridiculous and is demanding another survey take place:
