There are urgent calls for a full investigation into concerns raised about the water at St John’s Point beach in south Donegal.
It’s been reported that people swimming there have been suffering from itchy skin while local fishermen have claimed that there has been a significant reduction in sea life.
Both a discolouration and a strong smell have been noted in the water.
Local Independent Councillor Niamh Kennedy says the community is deeply upset about the issue.
