Sligo Rovers put back-to-back league victories togeher on Friday night with a 1-0 win over second-in-the-table Derry City at the Showgrounds.
Stefan Radosavljevic was Rovers matchwinner in the 84th minute, which capped a strong second-half performance by the home side.
Derry are now five points behind league leaders Shamrock Rovers, who were held to a scoreless draw at UCD.
That result means the students, who will have Donegal’s William O’Connor as their head coach next season, are now relegated to the First Division.
