The Irish Government have received a UN inquiry regarding the death of Private Sean Rooney.
Private Rooney, from Newtowncunningham in Donegal, was killed last December when a vehicle he was driving came under attack in the Lebanon last December.
Trooper Shane Kearney was also seriously injured in the attack.
It’s understood details of the inquiry will not be made public.
Five men were charged with the attack, and the hearing had previously been adjourned to December 15th.
