The Garda allocation in the North West will increase as a result as of 126 new Gardaí becoming sworn members of the force today.
The new allocation will bring the number of servicing officer in the country to 14,032.
The newly attested members of An Garda Síochána were recruited as part of the 2022 recruitment campaign.
There are 91 male officers and 35 female.
11 of the new officers will be allocated to Garda training stations in the North West which in turn has resulted in a net allocation of 16 officers being allowed for consequential interdivisional transfers
