Dromore West’s Keelan Kirehill once again signalled his international class in Abbotstown on Sunday by winning the senior men’s race at the Autumn Open International Cross Country event.
Kilrehill, who runs in the singlet of Moy Valley Athletic Club (Ballina), was second in this race last year.
This time, he broke clear of a chasing pack at the midway point to win the 8km race in a time of 24 mins 27 secs.
🗣️ “It’s the best fitness I’ve ever been in. I’m glad to finally show it there today.”

The event was also being used as a warm-up for the forthcoming national senior cross country championships on November 19th in Gowran Demesne in Kilkenny.
