A Status Yellow warnings will remain in place for parts of the north west to between 6 and 8 p.m. this evening.
Met Éireann is warning of widespread spells of rain along with strong and guest east to southeast winds.
This will possibly lead to localised flooding, reduced visibility and dangerous driving conditions.
