Glencar/Manor gear up for another tilt at All-Ireland champions

Just weeks after completing a four-in-a-row of Leitrim Gotham Dry Wall senior football titles, Glencar/Manorhamilton women’s gaelic footballers are now preparing to take on reigning All-Ireland club champions Kilkerrin Clonberne of Galway in next Monday’s Connacht senior club semi-final.

The north Leitrim team’s place in the last four was secured following Sunday’s 2-6 to 0-9 victory over new Roscommon champions Boyle.

Glencar/Manor goalkeepr Cammie McPartland spoke to Ocean FM Sport’s Brian Kerrigan after the win.

Glencar/Manor came up against Kilkerrin/Clonberne earlier this year, in the final of the women’s All-Ireland club sevens, which the Galway side won.

Kilkerrin also won the 2021 Connacht LGFA senior club final between the two teams, before going on to win the All-Ireland title – which they retained in 2023.

Monday’s second Connacht semi-final between Sligo’s six-in-a-row champions St Nathy’s and Knockmore (Mayo) will be played in Ballinalack Community Park in Bunninadden next Monday at 1pm.
