Busy few days for Arranmore RNLI

The Arranmore RNLI crew have attended three call outs in the space of four days.

The team responded to three medical evacuations since last Friday.

Patients requiring medical assessment are transported by lifeboat to Burtonport where they are met by ambulance for transfer to Letterkenny University Hospital.

Arranmore RNLI coxswain Jimmy Early said’ We are really pleased to be able to provide this vital service to the community, our colleagues in the Coast Guard also assist in medical evacuations and this is an invaluable service to the people of Arranmore and the surrounding islands who are in need of medical assistance’
