The N3 at Templenew has reopened following a road traffic collision in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Two pedestrians were injured after being struck by a vehicle.
The casualties, a male and female have been taken to hospital, where they continue to receive medical treatment.
Emergency services attended the scene.
Gardaí have confirmed that the crash site has now been cleared and the road has reopened.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution on the road.
