Serious concern has been raised over the level of cleaning and maintenance of rivers in County Sligo.
It’s thought that regular upkeep would reduce the risk of flooding in a significant amount of towns and villages.
Local Independent Cllr Joe Queenan says in light of recent storms and adverse weather, the issue has never been more important.
