There have been almost 800 new homes built across Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal since the start of the year.
New figures released today by the Central Statistics Office represent a record number of completed homes across the three counties since records began.
Donegal has the highest number of new homes completed since January.
The data shows that a total of 499 new homes were completed in the first nine months of this year and reflects an 8.2% on the same period of 2022.
In Sligo, the figure is 188 – an increase of 31.4 % on the same period last year.
While Leitrim saw the biggest increase in completed new builds when compared with October 2022.
The publication showed that 75 new homes were completed across County Leitrim during the first nine months of this year – an increase of 66.6% on the same period of 2022.
Nationally, a record 22,443 homes have been completed in the first nine months of 2023 so far – an 8.9 % increase on the same period in 2022.
