A Donegal GP says it’s vital that solutions to ongoing issues that are impacting Letterkenny University are secured at meeting between Donegal GPs senior SAOLTA management today.
The meeting has been called to discuss patient safety concerns and other issues at the Donegal facility.
GP’s in the county first raised their concerns after the over-crowding issues were experienced in Letterkenny back in August.
Concern is now that with the flus season just around the corner the Hospital will come under increased pressure.
Today’s meeting is expected to focus on the care of patients at the emergency department, as well as timely access to urgent outpatient appointments including treatment for possible cancer patients.
