Women for Election hopeful of increased councillor representation as they host Leitrim events

Only 3 of the 18 councillors on Leitrim County Council are female, it’s a similar situation on Sligo County Council. Flor MacCarthy of the Women for Election organisation says she’s very hopeful this situation can change at next year’s local elections, as they prepare to host two training programme sessions in Co Leitrim on 11th and 18th November
